What is FPS?
Writer: Mihad Al Hasan
What
is fps? fps means Frame per second. When we set the video, we have to give how
many fps to shoot the video, and when we edit the video, we have to decide how
many fps to render the video. If we want to know about fps, we need to know
something about video first.
Another name for video is the motion picture, which is a moving image. When we make a
video, our device takes a lot of pictures. When we go to watch that video, our
device releases all the pictures that it took together. Basically, like a flipbook.
The object on the first page of the flipbook is straight, the object on the next page is slightly curved, the next page is drawn a little more curved like this
so that when its pages are shown at a motion a movement is created just like a video.
And fps is how many pictures there will be per second in the video. We see 24
fps, 30 fps, 60 fps. 24 fps means that the video will have 24 images per
second, which means the device will take 24 images per second while making the
video. Almost all of the Hollywood and Bollywood movies we watch are made at 24
fps because 24 fps gives a view very close to the realistic view of our eyes.
Which is called the cinematic frame rate. And 30 fps is the standard frame rate.
Almost all the videos we watch on YouTube are made at 30 fps.
